(Photos by Jeff Lee/HammerHeadHousing.com) – Last weekend the pro touring battle known as the Motor State Challenge went down at the famous and historic Michigan road course known as Gingerman Raceway. The event is part of the Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational series, so all of the nation’s best pro touring machines were there along with loads of super cars, modern muscle, and home brewed iron that’ll have you browsing this entire gallery. Sponsored by Motor State Distributing, this has become one of the “must do” events on every pro touring fan’s schedule. This year, friend o’ BangShift Jeff Lee was on hand and blasted a great gallery of more than 100 photos for your viewing and drooling pleasure.
Jeff was at the event with his dad Skip taking in the action and spending time with the Detroit Speed “White Monster Camaro” which is equipped with one of their nuclear bomb proof HammerHead IRS rear end housings. These guys have worked on and refined their design for years and really have a piece that can withstand the most horrendous abuse you can heave at it. They have bolt in applications for late model Camaros and late model Challengers/ Chrysler LC and LX platform cars.
