(Photos by Scott Liggett) – Yesterday we showed you the cool stuff outside of the buildings at the Pomona Fairplex at the 2013 Hot Rod Homecoming car show. Today we’re taking you inside where the real gold was buried! In this first gallery we’re concentrating on Scott Liggett’s great photos of race cars that came to the event from all over creation. All of these cars were at one time or another featured on the pages of Hot Rod Magazine and that’s why they were invited to be part of the featured indoor display.
Hot Rod’s diverse and rich history was on display at this event with everything from dirt track open wheel cars, Trans Am entries like Smokey Yunick’s Camaro shown below, tons of drag cars, Bonneville racers, and a few odd balls that made everyone stop and go, “Huh.” We’ll be back at you again today with a gallery of the featured street cars and hot rods, but we love race cars of all shapes ad sizes so much we wanted to give them their own spot on the blog today!
