We weren’t planning on going to the Long Beach Swap Meet on Sunday. Our plans were more lofty. The centered around sleeping late and then sitting around in our boxers watching Nascar and drinking. But, our buddy Yannick Sire called us up and bribed us with the keys to his 496 big block powered ’57 Chevy 2 door wagon asking us to park it and toss a for sale sign in the window We dumped our big plans for the day and got ourselves up before dawn to head down there. We were so giddy, we woke up an hour before our alarm was set to go off.
After blasting down the 405 in that bad ass 57; we managed to stop giggling long enough to snap more than 80 photos for you to peruse. We were in shock at the amount of low mileage pre-war iron that showed up that included a ’40 Ford Deluxe sedan with 61,000 miles and a 38 Chevy with less than 50,000 miles. Where are all these cars coming from? We also think that some idiot must’ve paid $50,000 for a vintage Schwinn bicycle recently by the shear number of two wheelers that were being offered today.

I’ll take the black Imperial please.
Great shots Scott.
I take that blue Econoline with the Cragars, please…
As usual, nice shootin’ Scott.
Love both the Mach 1’s. Something about the 71-73 Mach 1 that always appealed to me.
