By far our favorite ritual here at Bonneville Speed Week 2013 has been showing up at the crack of dawn to watch teams prep their cars for record runs to start the day. With a one hour window to wrench and then queue up to head to their respective courses, competitors are busy and hustling despite the early hour. It is cool to see the motivation they have when most of the world is still sleeping. As we have been doing since the start of the event, we’re going to update the new record holders from the morning, of which there were a bunch.
Today there were a bunch of new and excited faces in impound as the sun came up over the salt. In this gallery you’ll see them as well as some cool shots we took while traveling in the convoy up to the starting line. It truly is something that every gearhead should experience….whether you like getting up early or not. It is certainly worth the “lost” sleep!
