(Photos by Darryl Daniels) – Our man on the scene in Australia, Darryl Daniels sent us an awesome dispatch of photos from the 2013 Top Gear Festival that was recently held at Sydney Motorsports Park in Oz. It was a six day road trip for Darryl and his grandson Plymouth (seriously, how awesome is that name?!) to make it from their home to the event and back. Along the way they stopped at every old car they saw and spend tons of quality time together in the car. Once they made it to the event they were greeted with huge throngs of cars ranging from late model exotics to Aussie classic Muscle, American muscle, and stuff all the way up to Top Doorslammers, Funny Cars, and Top Fuel Dragsters. We’re envious of the seemingly perfect weather at this event and we’re envious of the six day road trip that Darryl and Plymouth were on. We’re driving our desk way too much lately around here!
This is the first of many galleries and photos we’ll run from the event and from the road trip that Darryl went on to get there and back. We love the fact that there are BangShifters all over the globe willing to send in their photos so we can see the car culture as it exists in places like Australia and others.
