On Saturday morning there were hundreds of hopeful drag racers in the pits awaiting their shot a glory when eliminations rolled around at the 2010 Holley NHRA National Hot Rod Reunion in Bowling Green, Kentucky. By the end of the evening the classes had been halved and the cream was starting to rise to the top.
We shot several hundred photos of all the action from the morning right up until the time racing stopped in the evening to make way for the Cacklefest. It was hot and heavy, and thankfully oildowns and incidents were kept to a bare minimum so the program moved right along. Because of some morning rain, things got started a little later than planned, but the cars were run though in an efficient manner and class eliminations were started in the afternoon, setting up an interesting Sunday.
