After BangShift.com forum member IndyShiftMan shot and shared a bunch of great photos from pre-Indy 500 practice, we were hoping he’d bring his camera to the race. We were happy to see that our hopes were answered and he grabbed some awesome shots of both the racing on the track and the mobs of people headed into IMS to watch. 

We watched the race from home, and frankly, we enjoyed it far more than we thought that we would. It’s still a monster of an event and the massive Indy Motor Speedway was damn near full to the gills from what we saw on tv. We’re not going to be full-fledged Indy Car series fans now, but there’s still something special about that race and we need to figure out how to see it in person next year.
