(Photos by Charles Wickam) – Wickam is here in Houston blasting photos at the NHRA race like his life depended on it…because it does. Ok, we’re kidding. We didn’t actually make thinly veiled threats towards Charles insinuating that he would be in grave danger if he didn’t shoot like 1,000 photos a day. As proof, here’s his last gallery of photos from the 2014 Lonestar Round Up In Austin, Texas. This gallery has a photo that elevated Charles to deity like status at the Lohnes manse and that photo is the one directly above this text.
My sons are obsessed with the television show Wheeler Dealers and when Charles sent me the photo of Mike Brewer from the show proudly holding Charles’ BangShift jacket, I showed it to the boys and they completely freaked out. Because I am a calm, cool, and collected guy my freak out was saved for a moment when the family had left the house. I figured that it may save the kids a trip to therapy later in life.
This is our final gallery from the major Texas car show and all kidding aside, seeing Mike Brewer holding a BangShift jacket is seriously cool stuff. We owe Charles a big thanks for all his work at the show and for the more than 1,000 photos we shared from his lens. Stay tuned for some great action photos from the 2014 NHRA Spring Nationals here in Houston. The guy is working it.
