While you wait for the latest breaking news (and lots of the news seems to be about stuff breaking) we thought we’d hold you at bay with a great gallery of shots submitted by BangShifter Mike Black. Mike was prowling the pits as the Hot Rod Drag Week combatants prepped their stuff for a week of quarter-mile fury.
This gallery is great because it highlights some of the truly kick ass cars that have not gotten some photo love from us this week. Aside from the high line Unlimited and Power Adder class cars, there are dozens of awesome rides duking it out in the naturally aspirated category and daily driver class.
On Drag Week it matters not what you’re racing, but the fact that you are there and beating the snot out of your car. Until you actually experience this event and the attitude that surrounds it, our words will ring hollow. Mike’s photos give a candid look at a bunch of racers getting ready to hit the strip!
