Ivan “The Ironman” Stewart, multi-time Baja 1000 winner, and off-road racing icon is having an auction in honor of his retirement on August 28th. Stewart’s career includes championships, technological breakthroughs, and hundreds of thousands of miles of racing on the dirt. As you would expect, his El Cajon California shop has a lot of history, machinery, and memories that span decades and now you can buy a part of this history at auction. And yes, he’s even selling race trucks.
His retirement came as a surprise to us, because he’s “The Ironman”, but we guess that even The Ironman has to throw in the towel sometime. We won’t insult you with a story about Ivan’s great history or reasons why you should by his stuff. But we will say that if we had the cash we’d be buying stuff for sure. There are photos, signs, parts, Ivan’s office chair, and historic trucks. Hell, even if it is a Toyota, his Trophy Truck is bad assed.
