So while Chad was at the ADRL race in Virginia, I was at the ECTA meet in Wilmington, Ohio calling the action. It was a weekend of fantastic weather, tons of record breaking runs, and really fast cars. I shot the photos in this gallery on Friday as once the race gets going I am pretty well tied up in the tower announcing the action. You’ll see everything from classic Studebakers, including the single coolest ramp truck I have ever seen, streamliners, a 1970 Cadillac that will be the centerpiece of an upcoming BangShift feature, and a whole lot more. I have fallen in love with Land Speed Racing in the short time I have been directly involved and the diversity of equipment is a driving factor in that.
I’m done yapping, I’ll let the cool iron do the talking from here on out!

I had not experienced LSR before the Wilmington events. Great cars and great people. Everyone I ask was willing to explain how the event works and how their vehicle fits into the different classifications. A must for any gear heads bucket list!
