(Photos by Scott Liggett) – We ran Scott’s first load o’ photos from the April 2013 Long Beach Swap Meet yesterday and we promised more, so here they are. In this gallery you will see some truly awesome street freaks that have been dragged out of years in isolation for all of us to smile and revel over. Scott said he would have sold all of his stuff, a family member, and the neighbors dog to own the Challenger shown below. This car was not for sale but was at the swap on display. Chances are you have seen it around as it resurfaced a couple years ago. The machine was a magazine cover car back in the day and the owner played it just right, rolling the car back out to the world at the moment when everyone was just starting to wax nostalgic about wild 1970s paint schemes and the who look of his Mopar. Well played sir…well played.
We’re not going to waste any more of your Friday by running on at the mouth here, so hit the links below to see all of Scott Liggett’s bitchin’ photos from the Long Beach Swap Meet – April 2013 – Newest gallery on top!
Whoever buys that Challenger needs to keep it just the way it is.
But the Challenger was for sale for a paltry $30,000. Why do you think I was so geeked out over it?
I have long heard of the infamous LB swap meet, though I didn’t realize it was monthly. Are there very many good deals at the event? Or is it mostly high priced dreamers? Regardless, its an event I would love to check out some day. Is Pomona’s swap meet monthly as well? Which of the two is better?
long Beach has better prices than Pomona. Its smaller, but more focused. You dont have to wade through vendors with toys, belts and other crap to find parts. Everyone knows that people from all over the world goes to Pomona and are willing to pay more there and they price accordingly.
Scott, I’ve officially decided that when I come to Cali to go car shopping you’re going to be my tour guide.
Too much clean metal for me to handle, I want it all. Except for that ugly brown Caprice at the end of the 2nd gallery. Ewww, who would drive that? 😛
It’s gold, not brown dammit!!
Did you happen to catch what the price was on the 64 Galaxie?
If you mean the light blue one. There was no for sale sign on it. Probably not for sale. Many are not. Like Brian wrote in the blog, if you drive your old car in, you get to park right next to vendor rows. Shorter walk when you are carrying those parts you just bought. Same price to walk in as to drive your old rod in.
I love the small block tunnel ram with the ” stealth N.O.S ” setup 🙂
Nope Just Motor Man ! ? ! ?/
