(Photos by Charles Wickam) – Yesterday we showed you our first blast of delayed photos from the Top Notch Burgers gathering at the Lonestar Round Up in Austin, Texas. Wickam was given a unique shooting vantage point on his visit in the form of the trip to the roof of the iconic burger joint. Apparently the owner has to spend a lot of time up there because the place is all old and cantankerous so on one of this trips topside, he invited Charles to follow him up and boom…there he was. The man was looking down from high (ok not that high but we’re painting pictures with words here) atop his parking lot kingdom which was stuffed full of cars, trucks, and hot rods, as the light was fading and the party was just getting cranked up.
The after party events at the Lonestar Round Up are as much of an attraction as the show itself and we can see why. Music, food, and attitude are all important elements of any good car gathering and how could you not be having fun when you see the people and the iron in these photos.
