Photo Galleries: The 2011 NHRA California Hot Rod Reunion

Photo Galleries: The 2011 NHRA California Hot Rod Reunion

While Chad mans the scaffolding high above the legendary drag strip at Famoso Raceway in Bakersfield, California, our own Scott Liggett is snapping away with his camera to bring us great photos from the pits, the track and the Cacklefest! We’re going to break them up into batches of about a hundred photos each.

Scott’s shutter finger is going to be worn out by the time he’s done at Famoso. The race cars, cackle machines, and killer hot rods that show up are all BS worthy!

Chad, great coverage watched NFC on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. There was some great cars running in all classes. Really enjoyed it.

  6. Scott Liggett

Chad was an iron man and only came off that tower once a day. He was up on that tiny scaffolding tower the entire time. I had all the fun.

Want you to know I wasted two beautiful fall days in front of the computer because of your live feed at the CHRR. I loved every minute of it!!!!!

Can somebody give me the low-down on that ancient supercharged Chrysler Poly engine in that old roadster with the skinny wires in Gallery Two? Far-out!

chryco63, i most certainly can give you the low down on that roadster, those guys are good buddies of mine. Its a ’27 chrysler with the 318 poly from a ’66 satellite, and why not toss the ‘ol mccholloch on there?

p.s. Hot Rod Reunion was a blast, some of the most badass cars I have ever seen all in one place, and not just trailer queens, these guys run what they got. It was truly an experience.
