It was another great weekend in Bowling Green, Kentucky as the second annual Holley LS Fest went down at historic Beech Bend Raceway just a couple days ago. Our own Chad Reynolds was in town to serve as the voice of the event and many of BangShift’s sponsors were displaying and participating. Optima Batteries was on hand, looking for potential invitees for the awesome Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational that happens after SEMA. They found on in RideTech’s Brett Voelkel who got the nod and will be competing in the great “48 Hour Camaro”.
Detroit Speed was on hand, with Kyle and Stacy Tucker carving up the autocross course against the likes of Spectre Performance and their own nasty Camaro. It wasn’t all autocross fun though. There was a braking challenge, the drag strip was open and busy, organized cruises were part of the program, as well as come neat challenge events involving engine swaps and suspension builds. Despite some “liquid sunshine” late in the weekend, a great time was had by all!
Optima posted a few hundred photos on their Facebook page, so if you are on FB, all you have to do to get to them is click the “like” button on their page to see the galleries. If you’ve already “liked” them (and you should have!) hit the links below for a straight shot to the photo galleries!
