(Photos by Johnny Gaudette) – BS contributor Johnny Gaudette has been jonesing for some car fun since the beginning of September. Why? He’s back in school, that’s why! Gaudette shot us an excited note a week or two ago that he would be hitting up a couple of events over his two day respite from “readin’, rightin’, and rithmaticking'” in the classroom. The first of those two events was a gathering called the, “Rumble At Ralph’s” which is held at Ralph’s diner in Worcester, Massachussetts.
This gathering of cars was neat because of the informal nature, five bands jamming through the day, and because stuff like a totally gorgeous early Chevelle rolled in as well as the Falcon below, and lots more traditional hot rods to fill out the lot. While not as huge as other parts of the country that have better access to workable vintage sheetmetal, the traditional rodding scene in New England is alive and well. Cartoony, bizarro world rat rods seem to be on the wane and traditional cars with flatheads and other period engines and technology seem to be on the rise. We like that math.
Anyway, Johnny did a great job blasting these photos and you need to check them out in the gallery below! Do it!
