SEMA 2010: The Ugly, the Bad and the Totally Tasteless

SEMA 2010: The Ugly, the Bad and the Totally Tasteless

As we finally begin to run out of photos and stuff related to the 2010 SEMA show, we thought that showing you the underbelly of the experience was necessary. For every totally bitchin’ car at the show, there are five that’ll make your stomach flop. For every cool product there is 10 totally horrendous pieces of glue on plastic junk.

This is a very small sampling, a lowlight reel if you will showing some of the stuff that made us either laugh with derision, shed a tear in sadness, or cause us to ‘uke on our shoes.

We know that the show needs to include all kinds of stuff in the aftermarket, but there are whole buildings full of stuff that you’d never even consider “aftermarket”. Tiny plastic pole dancers that glue onto your dash? Seriously.

We don’t know who Rich Evans is, but he did both the Challenger in the small photo above (there is a larger one in the gallery) and the Mustang with these trick doors that lift up like a Lamborghinis. Have you ever seen anything so crazy? The doors, see, they open up, you know, like on a Lamborghini! There needs to be a government list of people who are continuing to put Lambo doors on stuff.

Woah, look at those doors!
