Lots of serious business goes down at the SEMA show every year. Hell, we conducted some of our own. That being said, by the end of the week virtually everyone is looped out on a lack of sleep, overload of automotive conversation, or products designed to combat the lack of sleep. We still have loads of great SEMA content to bring you, so we’ll keep rolling with this gallery of Chad, myself, and others horsing around a little at the show.
Chad is a grizzled veteran of the show, while I am a relative newb, only having attended in person a couple of times. That means I am still giddy and excited at roaming the halls and seeing all that there is to be seen. We’ll bring you our “best” and “worst” lists in the coming days, but here’s our blooper reel from the event.
Read the captions below each photo for the story as to what’s going on.
30-inch wheels on Donks are dumb, but provide a nice mirror when properly polished.
If Lohnes’s giant noggin fits all the way into your wheel, it is too deep. The echo in there was amazing.
Cherry Bomb’s Matt Graves gives us the standard BangShift.com secret handshake when we arrived at their booth.
We had to stop this before it got more “serious” and we were thrown out.
Traffic was low in our spacious, well equipped show booth. We ordered more chairs!
See earlier post. If Lohnes’s head fits, it is simply too big.
We convinced these two gentlemen that we were Troy Trepanier and Chip Foose.
This baby fits on a 51-inch rim. The company reps were looking at us a little funny when we did this, but come on. Are you really NOT supposed to stand in a tire this big? Really?
