Kowalski Customs in Reading, Pennsylvania has a well deserved reputation for building awesome stuff from traditional hot rods, to drag race cars, to Bonneville competition machines, and virtually anything else cool with wheels. Shop owner EJ Kowalski was born for this role, having grown up and worked next to his dad Ed Kowalski, who was the owner and operator of a speed shop chain and a decorated drag racer through the middle 1960s competing in Top Fuel.
Kowalski Customs opens their doors for a party each year for a party revealing the shop’s pinup calendar for the upcoming year. Proceed from the calender go toward’s the Bonneville racing efforts of the shop. In some photos you’ll see a streamliner under construction as well as more cool stuff than you have ever laid eyes on in one place.
We were wowed by the amount of stuff the shop has on hand for use in projects. From vintage sheetmetal to stacks of engines and transmissions, this place is a hot rodders dream! Outside of all the killer traditional stuff, they also have a bad ass collection of stock cars!
