The 48th annual Big 3 antique car and parts exchange meet is going on right now in San Diego, California. Held in the parking lot of Qualcomm Stadium, this is a massive swap meet and car corral that sells out months and months in advance, literally. All the spots for this monster once a year show were sold out in November! We were pounding the grounds of the event yesterday and came away with hundreds of photos to share.
Rather than completely bury you with an avalanche of pictures we’re going to dole them out, starting with this collection of 100 shots we blasted in the car corral. You’ll be happy to know that we concentrated on finding the most BangShifty machines in the lot, so there are unique trucks (GMC Street Coupe anyone?), big girls (the Cadillac below has a larger footprint than the state of Rhode island), and awesome street machines (bullet nosed Stude, FTW). We weren’t too sore about our California brethren being out and about in the sun as the temps smashed the 50-degree barrier here in New England. We are gritting our teeth about the bastards being surrounded by cool parts and iron all day, though. We’re going to get over it by looking all the neat stuff in this gallery. We suggest you do the same.

I used to attend this swap meet when I was stationed in San Diego.
Love that coffin nose Cord.
