Sweet Cars From The 15th Annual Goodguys Del Mar Show – From Weird To Wild They Are In Here

Sweet Cars From The 15th Annual Goodguys Del Mar Show – From Weird To Wild They Are In Here

How about this BangShifty pair above and below to get us rolling on our car coverage from the 15th Goodguys Del Mar show, eh? We have the blown flathead with the swapped ports above and the totally freakish creation below which looks like it may be based on a Corvette. Can you tell? We’re not sure. Hey you didn’t think we were going to let the truck guys get all the glory in our Del Mar coverage, right? No way, Jose there were thousands of cars at this show and we went through and systematically shot the coolest, most interesting, and entertaining ones in the bunch. Wagons, roadsters, and all the stuff you know and love is in here.

But for a moment, let’s turn our attention to this creation below. Yes, there is a blower case there but it looks to us like the LS engine in the front of the car is actually breathing through it (see the air cleaners on top?) and it is more of a show situation than anything else. the exhausts running up and through the center of the car between the driver and passenger pods is interesting but we’re not entirely sure it is hooked to anything and the look of the whole deal seems like something right out of a Hot Wheels package. Admittedly there are parts that we like. The pods are pretty trick looking for one thing. What do YOU think?

I kind of like that, uh, whatever it is. It kind of scratches the “I want a full sized version of a Hot Wheels car I can drive on the street” sort of itch. Sort of like most of Ed Roth’s creations.
