Tiny Town, Huge Car Show – Photos From St Paul, Nebraska Where Hot Rodders Invaded The Town With Awesome Iron

Tiny Town, Huge Car Show – Photos From St Paul, Nebraska Where Hot Rodders Invaded The Town With Awesome Iron
(Words and photos by Scott Liggett) – The tiny town of St. Paul, Nebraska  hosts a yearly car show that brings out hundreds of cars from all around the great plains. Part of the Grover Cleveland Anderson Days, the local car club, The Royal Coachmen, organize one of the largest shows in the area.
St. Paul is a wonderful picture perfect midwest small town complete with the hilltop County Courthouse in the square in the middle of town. The car show is held right on the green grass of the city park under shady trees. The Royal Coachmen are fantastic hosts who bring out tons of great food choices, plenty of things for the kids to do, and trophies for more than 40 classes in the show. JBI Dyno Services brought out their portable chassis dyno and it got abused all day, including a 900 hp pull by a twin turbo charged LS powered ’63 Nova built by FM Fabrications.
One other note on the car club. The Royal Coachmen have the coolest clubhouse your author has ever seen. It’s an old gas and service station from the 1930’s. The gas station looks like it was frozen in time. The service garages out back turn into the club’s car shop. It ranks about a 9.5 on the cool meter. Our midwest reporter, Scott Liggett was there to snap a bunch of photos for us.
