Yes, it’s true: gearheads actually have a national holiday! July 11th is set aside as National Collector Car Appreciation Day, a day where time is taken to recognize the contributions that the automotive community provide to society. Whether it be by preserving older and rare vehicles, entertainment and revenue with racing and shows, educational opportunities by showcasing the histories behind these vehicles, or just some good old-fashioned relaxation while socializing with friends, families and neighbors, take the time today and support the cause.
SEMA is a big supporter of National Collector Car Appreciation Day, and has a list of events here. Find something local to you and head out tomorrow, or even just take your pride and joy for a cruise. Get out there and let the public enjoy what we love as a hobby.
What will you do today to celebrate? Leave us a comment and let us know!
