We’re back with some more cool cars that you have not seen yet from Viva Las Vegas 2014. This time we’re concentrating on pre-war hot rods. Some of them are street roddy and some of them are rat roddy but the vast majority of them fall dead square in the middle of those two polarizing categories. When you stop and think about how much old steel is still out there running around, it really is mind boggling. Viva Las Vegas represents one show in one city on one weekend. From that one show have come hundreds and hundreds of photos that we have shared and lots of them were using steel that was stamped before 1930! It would be easy to just cry about how lucky the west coast guys are but the fact is that these are are all over the place and thousands (tens of thousands?) are still sitting in fields and old time wrecking yards across the country.
Some of these cars aren’t really our taste per se but they were all built to what the owner wanted and we can respect that. The great thing about cars and hot rodding in general is that each and every one of them reflects the owner’s tastes and desires in their own car. Every car in this gallery is unique in its own way. This ain’t a Toyota dealership lot, kids!
