Alabama-based Pro Extreme racer Hugh Scott suffered a horrifying crash during the final round of qualifying at the ADRL’s UTI Texas Drags in Houston, Texas. The car apparently got fuel under one of it’s tired, made a virtually immediate move to the right and center-punched the wall head first. This caused the front mounted fuel cell to rupture and erupt in an amazing fireball.
Scott’s car then slid to the center of the track where he emerged, shaken but unhurt. Our Texas based photo correspondent, Charles Wickam was on hand shooting for us at the race and he captured some stunning images of the wreck. We’ll let the photos do the talking…this is some crazy stuff.
