This Might Be The Most Bad Ass Boat You Can Find For Sale On Marketplace Right Now

I’m sure there are much faster boats available for sale right now, but this 1968 Century Coronado 21 is pure sexiness. If you don’t feel like James Bond or something while entertaining on this boat then you are doing it wrong. I want to cruise this thing and drink a martini, or champagne, or both. It reminds me of the boats you see in Venice, Italy not California, and that makes me smile. It feels European, but with an American heartbeat thanks to the 440 cubic inch Chrysler under the “hood”.

I’d love to cruise the lake, listening to the dual quads sing at full song, with the wind in my hair. But not too much wind, because this boat has a top that can be slid forward to make boating a virtually windless affair. The top is part of the charm of this boat, and the seating arrangement means that everyone on this boat gets to set how they want and where they want. Just look at this interior that feels like all the classic American cars we know and love.

Man this thing speaks to me. If I win the lottery this week, I’m buying it.

And you can buy it if I don’t. The link to the original ad is below, as are all the details from the seller.

Seller’s Description

You are looking at the last of an era Century Boats’ last production wooden boat, the Coronado with the sliding roof and sliding side glass. It’s powered by a rebuilt Chrysler 440 CI with dual 4 bbl carbs, factory rated at 330 hp. The boat belonged to a wealthy gentleman that had a sizable classic car collection. This boat was restored to a very high level, down to the vinyl-covered decks, full polish on all the stainless steel fixtures, and the stamping of the correct emblems was sourced and done to factory standards. The motor was rebuilt to factory specifications. It has two flags that are removable for transport, it was stored with race fuel and always kept inside. It has a flexible sealant applied to the bottom of the hull, this boat is boat show ready or just pleasure cruise ready. We put it on the water last week and it ran very well. We were mobbed at the gas station and the boat ramp, people wanting to know what it is. This is a beautiful boat and will give the next caretaker years of enjoyment.

The ’67 Coronet there is unmistakable. Beautiful. Get those ’90s-up trailer wheels off, for skinny Torque-Thrusts or something era-correct.

That thing is gorgeous! If I win the lottery, that thing is mine! I’d cruise it up and down the Shuswap, or maybe down on the Columbia in Wash, state. YFH!
