Feds to Auction Massive Car Collection in Utah, With Video

The U.S Marshals are set to auction the 220-car collection of Jeffrey Mowen, a Utah man who has been indicted on charges relating to a multi-million-dollar fraud scheme. Note we said indicted as Mowen has not been convicted of anything yet. Storing all the cars is costing the government $20,000 a month so a judge has given then the green light on selling the property.

As you’d expect, there’s a General Lee that will be up for grabs and a whole bunch of other stuff, including a stack of custom choppers and what appears to be an ancient curved-dash Olds. There’s a gallery of truly horrid photos that look to have been taken with a camera phone to check out, and it seems to indicate a ton of junky looking kit cars also comprise the collection.

As for Jeffrey Mowen, he’s in some hot water. Aside from all the fraud stuff, he is also accused of trying to place hits on four witnesses involved in the case against him. If he beats the rap, he’s probably going to want his stuff back.
