Felipe Massa Recovering; Eager to Return to Racing

Felipe Massa, the Ferrari F1 team driver who was struck in the head by an errant spring during the Hungarian Grand Prix a couple weeks ago, is recovering in Brazil and is very anxious to get back into the car that Michael Schumacher is now driving for the remainder of the season.

Massa claims to remember nothing from the wreck, which is probably a good thing. He also claims that he’s “feeling much better” and wants to be out on the course slicing and dicing with the other F1 elite. It is interesting that he’s in this good of shape as the report swirling around after the wreck had him so badly injured in the head that he’s never drive an F1 car again, now just a few weeks later, he’s ready to get back into the mix.

Although he’s acting the part of the good teammate, we can’t believe that Massa is excited to have Schumacher driving in his place. If Schumacher gets on a hot streak and decides he kind of likes this F1 thing again Massa will be job hunting.

Here’s the link to the story on Massa.
