By the time you read this, the fun mission to drive our new 1987 Caprice 9C1 project car from Pennsylvania to Massachusetts will have begun. We’re cruising down to PA today, collecting up the car and BSing with pals tomorrow, then heading north on Sunday. The car is being purchased from fellow BangShifter Doug who has a lift at home, so we’ll give the car a good once over before heading out with the family in tow.
We’ll be live blogging any fun, painful, annoying, or joyous experiences along the way and you can follow our progress below just by watching the map. We’ll try to keep the speeds at sub-sonic levels on the way down but once we’re in the new whip for the ride home, we may get a littler heavier foot as we test the quick ratio steering, 3.08 posi rear, and heavy duty cop suspension on the Caprice.
Scroll down below to check in on our whereabouts!

I love those tag along road trips, you need to keep buying those cars. You might be able to ride faster than with that big tow truck.
42mph? Try the ditch!! Bandit did, worked wonders for ratings. Nice seat cover worked pretty good too. (cough) even if she did give birth years later to Forest Gump. HAHAHAHAHA. Hope you guys are doing well.
You’re minutes from Maple Grove Raceway. Take it for a baseline run on Saturday!
Maple Grove does not open for another month. But that would be cool.
