It’s time to stock up on as much older full-sized iron as you can get your hands on because little econo-box weiner cars are going to become the major focus of seemingly every automaker outside of the Chinese-owned Hummer brand.
This story from the AP seems to indicate a perfect storm of economic and financial woes conspiring to make the small, weakling, economy cars being the future of the domestic automotive market.
According to the piece, the last wave of union concessions have created an environment where manufacturers can actually build an economy car and turn a profit, something that has been driving the manufacturing end of these cars way off shore for years. We doubt half that tiny junk even has the payload capacity to relocate a keg of beer.
