Police in Adelaide, Australia responded to a call of a suspected burglary and instead discovered a car that was reported stolen from a market two weeks ago. In one of the most epic, “that wouldn’t happen again in a million years,” moments we have heard about in a while, the car actually parked itself in the garage after rolling out of a parking lot, down a street, into the driveway, and ultimately through the garage door, which actually closed behind the vehicle, blocking it from view.
We put the ol’ Capt. Picard face palm photo in the lead of this item mainly because of the car’s owner. He had owned the station wagon for two days apparenty and forgot to set the brake after getting out of the car. Yeah, that’s bad, but not as bad as the next part. As he was entering the store the man reported hearing a big “BANG” noise, but apparently thought nothing of it and continued about his business. That noise was his car pulling a Houdini into the unsuspecting garage.
The poeple who own the home where the garage is located called the police unpon returning from vacation because they saw the condition of the garage door, which was off of the track and assumed someone had broken into the property and stolen their stuff. Imagine the surprise for police when they ran the info on the car and discovered it had been the vehicle reported stolen weeks before!
The variables involved in this story are so totally insane we had to share it. What are the chances?!
