Normally, we don’t give a flying foo about Italian sports cars who have names that we can barely pronounce. When they are wrecked on public roads at nearly 200mph and everyone lives, however, that’s a different story. A 27-year old German man crashed a Pagani Zonda Roadster F, a car with a BASE price of $1.2-million buckaroos on an Italian highway recently. He was apparently racing someone in a hot roddy Mercedes (SLR McLaren anyone?) when he lost the handle on the carbon fiber super car, wrecking it into shards of metal, fiber, and fabric.
Only 25 of these cars were ever produced. No more will be made, and each of the cars was essentially built to fit the buyer. When you walk into the Pagani dealer, they charge you $1.2 million for the car, and then all of your modifications, accessories, and doo dads tack on to that price. The car makes 650hp and is for all intents and purposes a street going formula car.
Thankfully, the latest technology available to mankind was applied when building these things and the carbon fiber passenger tub, did exactly what it was supposed to do when the crapola hit the fan. It saved the lives of the driver and his passenger who went for one horrifying ride that night.
As an aside, the police immediately revoked the guy’s license and hopefully threw it down a deep hole. This is the second time this man has been busted. He got caught racing a Lamborghini a couple years ago and the Italian coppers pinched him then as well.
No name has been released but Douchey Dinkinstein is probably something like it.
The story was first reported on Italian site, Motori.it – click that link and hit the translate button on your browser, unless you are a smarty pants and can read Italian. We can read Italian menus, but this, not so much.

That’ll rub out with a little wax.
i agree, that will buff right out. and if that aint it, call CarTalk. they can help. 😀
His dad ain’t just gonna kick his ass…he’s gonna break his leg off at the femur when he buries it up this delinquent’s ass!
I suppose we can call this one a total
If you can afford to buy a $1.2 million dollar car. You can afford to replace a $1.2 million dollar car.
SO, now what are the remaining 24 worth??
Pagoni Zonda?? Never heard of it!! One less Euro trash ride to get in the way!!

It’s all carbon fiber.. just grab the super glue lol it’ll be fine
These super cars always seem to end up in the hands of people who cannot drive.
How many guys are really able to drive 200 mph on a road? I’d be most who can are already driving on a track.
Carbon fiber……hell go to the next
Tupperware party and pick up parts
Another case of more money than skill.
Can I get the seats. And the windshield wiper looks like its in good shape? I should get at least 60k out of the 1.2 mil
