We have to admire the audacity of Cleetus. Taking a third-gen Camaro and preparing it to be an Aussie burnout car takes some serious clanking bits, but to pull off the feat and hopefully do America proud in the land where a psychotic tire-fryer seems to happen five times an hour is going to require some help. Not that the big-block the Camaro already came with wasn’t stout, but for what the tall Floridian is about to ask it to do, it’s just not going to cut the mustard. It’s time to really step up and to do that, he reached out to BluePrint Engines for some help. And brother, did they provide…
The black Camaro is getting one of BluePrint’s new 632ci Eliminator engines. Consider this the nuclear option…naturally aspirated this engine is supposed to be sold for 800 horsepower and 750 ft/lbs of torque, but the exact numbers your engine made on the dyno will be provided. It’s a 4.6 inch bore, 4.750-inch stroke thumper that sports a forged crank, forged H-beam rods, ARP bolts, Mahle forged pistons, Precision Gap’s Power Adder rings, and a 6.98 lift, 272/282 [email protected] roller camshaft straight out of the box. And it’s designed for a power adder, whatever you wish. Blower, turbocharger, enough nitrous to get a raging elephant to calm down with…it’ll take it.
The Aussies aren’t going to be bowled over when the Camaro, now known as “Toast” (The Official American Street Thrasher) rolls up automatically. It’s going to have to put one a hell of a show just to be taken seriously. Here’s hoping this new bullet helps matters!
