GM’s 1978-82 A-body and 1978-1988 G-body rear-drivers were popular for having a balanced package in a rear-drive, full frame car, but like most 1980s products, they can benefit from more horsepower. And with the surging popularity of GM’s LS-series of engines, it was only a matter of time before the aftermarket started putting together parts to transplant what has become the engine of choice for many people into them. Holley Performance Products, together with Hooker Headers, have come up with a line of products that make putting LS engines into the GM A/G platform easier and simple. By developing these pieces in-house on test vehicles, they have created components and systems that will take the hassle out of swapping the modern motor into the classic metal.
From headers, exhaust manifolds, and stainless steel exhaust systems; to engine mounts, transmission mounts, adapter kits for specific transmissions, and complete plug & play EFI systems, Holley and Hooker’s engineers have created everything that is needed to put an LS engine into an A/G body, trouble-free and ready to run with a clean appearance.
