Holley Releases A Slew of New Products: We Check Them Out

We got a cool new product tour from the guys at Holley at the 2010 SEMA show. These guys have really been working on some awesome stuff. Everything from engine dress-up stuff to fuel rails, to intake manifolds, to engine and drivetrain controllers are coming to market from Holley. Take a peek at some stuff that will soon be available for a hot rod, street machine, or race car near you.

These coil covers for LS engines are pretty neat because the dress up the motor, but also because they cause a ton of double takes from people who can’t decide whether they are looking at an old school big block or an LS-series engine.

These fuel rails are for LS engines and work with the new intake manifolds that Holley is introducing.

This LS oil pan is designed to make engine swaps easier. The pan weighs in at 15lbs or more.  It is a very beefy piece. The bolt in baffle is neat, and the fact that this pan will make putting a modern motor in an older car way easier than hacking up factory stuff equals a win in our book.

The part we were digging really hardcore was this new modular “Hi-Ram” intake manifold. Available with a removable top that can be ordered with provisions for two throttle bodies, two carbs, or a front mounted factory-style throttle body it allows for the user to choose their induction setup and have some flexibility down the road. The manifold can also be ordered with a “blank” top, which is unmachined and can be setup for three carbs, inline carbs, a single four, or whatever else your crazy self can dream up.

One of the truly trick pieces we have seen thus far at the show is this bug catcher that isn’t exactly as it seems. Those “fuel lines” running into the base? Yeah, no fuel there. Inside the hat are the fuel rails and injectors. Our devious minds already decided that we’d be pumping loads of nitrous into the motor via those “dummy” lines. We do not thing that this piece is commercially available (yet), but it really is cool.

Finally, Holley was displaying their three EFI systems. The Avenger EFI, HP EFI, Dominator EFI, make up the Holley line of EFI controllers. The systems all have self learning capabilities and both the HP and Dominator systems can handle power adders. We’re dreaming about a Dominator system that we could bolt on to a mild engine and work our way up the modification scale while retaining the same system. The three systems offer great options to hot rodders at virtually all levels.
