(Photos by Albert Heiles/Autobahn Auto News) – This is pretty much the roadside find to beat all roadside finds. BangShift reader and automotive blogger Albert Heiles spotted this monster sitting on the side of a Pennsylvania road the other day and couldn’t help but to go back with his camera and document the scene. This truck, as huge and crazy looking as it is, seems to be done pretty well. The doubled up nose is creepy weirdo to the max, but it was done in a pretty professional manner as proven in the detail photos. It isn’t like zip tied to the radiator support or something. Someone really melded two older Ford F250/F350 grill and headlight assemblies together and by inverting the bottom one, actually put some thought in to it.
We don’t know what the chassis was the foundation for previous to being used in this project, but since the few 6×6 trucks we have seen on this size have all be used by utility companies (gas, electric, etc) to service powerlines and stuff in backwoods locations, we’re going with that. We don’t know if this was a conversion done by a company like Marmon-Herrington, or if the front axle and massive transfer case were part of the program when the original truck rolled out of the factory. We suppose it could have been a tank truck or something to that effect as well. Your guess is as good as ours. Engine? Don’t know that either.
We do know that the builder did a nice job elongating a factory bed and adding the second set of wheel arches. They look as factory as possible in this scenario.

The deal with the grill and headlights may be to comply with a headlight height law. Note the rear lights. This truck appears to have been done well.
