Whew! We were starting to think that the Jeremy Mayfield saga had reached a stalling point. Luckily for us, Mayfield just filed a wrongful death lawsuit against his cat-loving stepmother Lisa Mayfield over the 2007 death of his father. The death was ruled a suicide, but Mayfield contends that Lisa had something to do with it.
He infamously was quoted as saying of Lisa Mayfield, “She’s basically a whore. She shot and killed my dad.” That statement was made after Lisa Mayfield said that she witnessed Jeremy using meth something on the order of 30 times in a legal document for NASCAR.

There’s some military logic about winning a multiple-front war. We’re fuzzy on it, but we seem to remember that it’s a lot tougher to win if you are fighting in a bunch of different directions. Let’s just say that Mayfield ain’t General Patton. His offense is going after Lisa Mayfield but his defense attorneys have their hands full with simultaneous suits from Arrington Manufacturing and Triad Racing Technologies for work and services provided to his team. Those suits are worth more than $150,000 combined.
The term “hot mess” fails to even scratch the surface of this whole deal, but it’s the easiest way to sum it all up.
