Jack Roush crashed his experimental airplane while attempting to land in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Roush was flying in to participate in a gathering of the Experimental Aircraft Association which takes place each year. He is listed (at this writing) as being in “serious but stable” condition at a local hospital. Apparently Roush was coming in for a landing and had issues at the last minute causing a wing to dip and the plane to hit the ground. 

Roush and his female passenger both exited the plane under their own power. She suffered minor injuries. The extent of Roush’s injuries was not detailed at the time of this writing but the injuries are said to include facial cuts. 

Ironically, the passenger in the plane, Barbara Strickland is writing a book on Roush’s life.
