Missing Car Show Season? Why Not Check Out The IQCS2020? LAST WEEK TO REGISTER!

So…let’s take stock of what the last few of weeks have been in a one-word nutshell: CANCELLED. One person per family per shopping trip, social-distancing, you better not f’ing sneeze at me hell on earth. Hear me clearly: I’ve been looking at property in McTaggart, Saskatchewan for one simple reason besides the name of the village. Population: 114. Distance to nearest large population? Just over an hour to Regina. Maybe there people aren’t walking around in lawn-care trash bags thinking that they’ve built a homemade HAZMAT suit to pick up some cereal and milk from the store. Can’t be any worse than the last supply run I got to make where I’m pretty sure I saw a thong being used as a facemask. But I digress…the world sucks right now, especially for car people. Races, shows, get-togethers, all not happening. Outside of actually catching up on the project car you said you were going to work on over the winter, things haven’t been good. Sure, the cheap gas is nice, but what good is it when half the world is shut down?

Deboss Garage has decided to do something about it. It’s called the International Quarantine Car Show, and it’s an online-deal. But this isn’t just a Facebook post where you leave a picture and that’s that. This is a legitimately judged car show and the classes, and the judges are a mix of YouTubers who are in charge of each class:

  • Most Factree: The closest to original mixed with just a tinge of personality. Judged by Derek from Vice Grip Garage.
  • F*ckin’ Mint: Garbage put together oh so right. Judged by the ever-colorful mouthpiece behind Zip Ties N Bias Plies.
  • Purity: Are you close to your objective? We hope so. Judged by Mr. Regular from Regular Car Reviews.
  • Tuner Taste: Are you properly ballin’ with a budget? Judged by Sarah from Sarah -n- Tuned.
  • Enginuity: Unique engine swaps done with limited resources. Judged by Al and Woody from The Skid Factory.
  • Bracketry: An engineering class for the best engineered mounting solutions. Judged by Bad Obsession Motorsports, home of Project Binky.

After the judges pick the winners for all of the categories, Rich and BlackJack will pick one ultimate winner. Prizes, you ask? The Megaboss (ultimate champion) gets a $1,000 Summit Racing gift card. Second place gets a $150 card, Third a $100 card, and category winners get $50 cards. You can submit an entry up to April 25, 2020, where the public will vote until May 2, 2020. The top 25 entries will move on to the judging round. And if you feel like being a bit giving, IQCS2020 merch is for sale with 100% of the proceeds going directly to Doctors Without Borders.

You ain’t getting out of the house anytime soon, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the fun of a car show. Send in a picture of your junk…the four-wheeled variety, you creep…and who knows, maybe you’ll get some recognition! Check out IQCS2020.com for more details!
