Monday Time Killer: Oddrods.com

B.K. Taylor started sending drawings of his odd, hot rod loving monsters out to publishers and other outlets while still in school back in 1969. According to the history on the Oddrods.com site, the only company to get back to him was Donruss, a publisher of baseball and other types of bubblegum cards.

This set into motion a series of events that would have Taylor drawing these characters for years and would see the cards themselves become part of the hot rodding culture of the time. It actually spun off six additional series of cards and we’re guessing a pretty good living for Taylor.

Reader realstreetfreak tipped us off to the site and we’re passing it on as the Monday Time Killer because when you read the history and catch up on Taylor’s bio, you will click on the gallery section and see literally thousands of these cards. They rule.

For those of you just coming back from a long holiday weekend and are hating the office right now, this will do the trick of annhiliating the first half of your day, and if you play it right, most of the second.
