The devastation and destruction that hurricane Katrina brought to southern Louisiana was jaw dropping. Massive areas of flooding left huge urban areas all but annihilated. Tens of thousands of residents were spread all over the country as their homes and neighborhoods were completely destroyed. Those who stayed were faced with a long road of recovery that in many cases is still on-going. All is not doom and gloom though, as cars are bringing people together to escape their worries, at least for a while.
We found a story on TheAdvertiser.com that looks at the current situation of one muscle car owner and how getting together with other like minded people helps everyone in the end. The story consults with a psychologist about the reasons that people find respite at places like car shows and events in the face of a pretty tough situation.
