Well, our weekend of nitro bathing is 100% over. We’re back on our respective coasts picking flecks of rubber out of our ears and noses. There is really nothing to compare modern nitromethane burning Funny Cars and Top Fuel Dragsters with. Palm Beach International Raceway did one hell of a job reinventing itself as a premier motorsports destination, the crew that prepped the track did one hell of a job getting a surface stickier than the Super Glue factory ready for the teams, and the drivers and crews did one hell of a job unleashing a torrent of nitromethane the likes of which PBIR hasn’t seen for 25 years.
