One of the things we noticed at the 2010 SEMA show was an increase in the number of hard parts for Ford’s 3-valve V8. Obviously it was nothing like the onslaught of stuff for LS engines, but equipment like this stroker kit from Eagle Specialties have our radar up for the bad ass three-valve builds we know are coming!
Featuring a 4340 Steel crank, 4340 H-beam connecting rods, forged Arias pistons, rings and rod bearings, this kit is rated for up to 1300hp according to Eagle. The boys at Eagle said that this kit was specifically intended for builders choosing forced induction. Crank the boost up!
The MSRP for the kit is $2500.00
The three valve engine has gotten lots of attention from the makers of bolt-on equipment like superchargers and nitrous manufacturers but with companies now delving into the bottom end market, we’re interested in seeing what a truly “built” version can do with custom made innards. The power guys make with stock parts is impressive, now that they have the option of making the wick a whole lot longer, the sky seems to be the limit!
