I’ve had the pleasure of using Accel’s Ceramic booted plug wires on engines on the dyno at Westech and can tell you that these things are capable of handling anything your headers can throw at them. With the ceramic ends, available in multiple configurations for different applications, no hot header tubes are going to melt the boots near the spark plug. We recently did a series of camshaft tests that had us changing 12 LS camshafts in about 12 hours and these plug wires didn’t even flinch at being pulled on and off that many times. And when one plug wire was a bit closer to a primary tube than I normally would like, I had no worry because these things will handle temps in the 2,000 degree range. The ones we used were white, but these new black ones are kick ass and I can’t wait to put them onto our next project.
