Dynatech Headers Launches Line Of Torque Boosters – Easy And Proven Way To Pick Up Low End Power On Street To Race Engines

Dynatech Headers Launches Line Of Torque Boosters – Easy And Proven Way To Pick Up Low End Power On Street To Race Engines

One of the most oft neglected places that racers and hot rodders forget about in terms of making torque and horsepower is in the header collector area. Tuning the collector length can have a real impact on low end torque and high end horsepower. The fine folks at Dynatech headers understand that and it is the reason that they have developed Torque Boosters in several varieties that will allow everyone from racers to street machine enthusiasts to get more power and performance out of their cars. As you may or may not know, Dynatech is huge in the circle track racing market and the impetus for these pieces was in the competitive world of sealed crate engine oval track competition.

Because those engines themselves cannot be tuned or hot rodded, it is the ancillary stuff on the outside of them that need to be tweaked and specifically touched up to make the most power. These torque boosters were originally intended for use on GM crate motor powered circle track cars because that torque is what’s needed to really shove a car off the corner. The good news is that torque is also perfect for shoving a car down the drag strip, down the road, and through the dirt and mud as well.

These are easy to install, professionally fabricated pieces that have been tested and scienced out to the max. Want more torque? These could be the ticket for you.

Dynatech Headers is proud to announce the launch of our new Torque Boosters. Dynatech now has a solution for those times when you need that added torque on restarts. This new device works especially well between 2500 & 4200 RPM. Usually when you pick up low end torque, it is traded for some high end horsepower. The Torque Booster defies this rule and provides substantial increases in low to mid-range torque with no effect on the high end horsepower numbers.

Although beneficial on almost any engine, they work exceptionally well on 604 Crate engine applications where the added low end and midrange torque gains are needed. The Dynatech Torque Booster is a great way to pick up some low end torque on many engines.

What the heck is inside these?

Are they more than strategically-placed bulge in a pipe extension?

I had no luck in finding any info on these “boosters” on the Dynatech site.

    I don’t see an application for a 100-horse 2.4 liter engine with a 2.25″ exhaust.
    I want my money back.

By the way, that was sarcasm.
    Sounds like a cool product.

If I had to guess how it works, I see a combination of Convergent and Divergent Ducts which would change the Pressure and Velocity of exhaust flow.

So, since it necks down from 3″, these add some backpressure?

Would love to see some actual dyno results.

Sounds a bit like they are trying to break the laws of physics or gas dynamics. More torque but no high end loss sounds hokey. We need independent dyno testing.
