One of the things that set MAHLE Motorsports apart from o ther piston companies is the fact that their parent company MAHLE is deeply involved with OEM production and this allows them to really understand the loads and stresses being placed on OEM parts. When you take that into consideration and then allow the motorsports division guys get their mitts on stuff, you know it will be read for heavy duty action inside your engine.
Never an outfit to be behind the curve, MAHLE Motorsports has released PowerPak Plus pistons for the Ford Ecoboost 2.0L four banger that has been very popular in new cars and is now being hot rodded for use in all manner of street and race vehicles. These babies are machined from MAHLE M142 allow, have shaped crowns made specifically for the unique Ecoboost heads, and are triple coated. Not content to stop these the pistons have the top ring grooves hard anodized to protect against micro-welding and to better withstand the heat and pressures that come into play with direct injection and boost.
