As we continue to meet with a host of manufacturers at this year’s SEMA MPMC conference, the cool news on new parts and components keeps on coming. Hotchkis Sport Suspension has some great products for both new and classic Camaro lovers in form of their Track Pack for the 2010 Camaro and the Chassis Max kit for ’67-’69 Camaro and Firebird convertibles.

The track pack for late model Camaros consists of several different components, all engineered to provide greater handling performance and driver control without diminishing ride quality. The kit features springs that drop the car 1″, front and rear sway bars, and a very unique chassis brace to tie the whole package together. Hotchkis wanted us to stress that through engineering went into developing this package and no “safety wiring” is required to keep the springs in the car during hard core cornering.

The second piece of the puzzle, and the one that has us drooling over the prospects of installing it on our own 1969 Camaro convertible is the Chassis Max kit. We’ve all seen what happens when the power level is stepped up in a convertible and nothing is done to provide more rigidity to the chassis. The cars flex and bend, creating a multitude of problems.

Hotchkis has taken the time to engineer a comprehensive solution to this issue in the form of the Chassis Max kit. Included are subframe connectors and a fabricated cross brace that is engineered to clear 3-inch exhaust and to bolt to the leaf spring pickup points. The cross brace will not reduce ground clearance either. This kit is just the ticket if your needs range from just increasing the handling prowess of your convertible to bolting on some bigger meats and trying some competitive driving at the autocross or the digs.
