This really isn’t that new, but it’s just so bitchin’ that we wanted to
remind you that Paxton makes blow-thru-carburetor systems for
small-block Mopars. Boost is good, and it can make your Duster even
gooder.
Here’s the official press release info:
Paxton Automotive has released a new gear-driven supercharger system
for carbureted Mopar vehicles that will add 30-75% additional
horsepower depending on boost levels.
Applications include 1967-1976 A-body models such as the Dart, Duster,
Demon, Scamp, Valiant and the 1967-69 Barracuda with 318, 340 and 360
small block V8s.
This universal system includes Novi 1200 centrifugal supercharger
capable of supporting 680 HP @ 20 PSI and a unique cast aluminum
carburetor enclosure that pressurizes the float bowls and throttle
shafts for a seamless response and correct air/fuel ratio.
In addition to the enclosure assembly, nickel plated billet steel
mounting plates, belt tensioner with dual bearing pulley, supercharger
drive assembly, molded silicone discharge hose, compressor bypass valve
and mounting hardware are among the items included in the systems.
A satin or polished finish is available and a three-year limited
warranty on the supercharger is standard. Suggested retail price is
$3295.
Additional systems are in development for Mopar big-block vehicles and,
depending on hood clearance, this system may fit B and E-body
small-block cars.
