Snow Performance, the industry leader in water and methanol injection systems, has introduced a cool new system designed for naturally aspirated engines that helps raise the octane level of fuel and cool the intake charge for increased performance. These guys are also working on a kick ass project that they clued us in on and we’re going to follow as it comes together!
The system, which retails for about $300.00, comes with everything needed to make the system work. All the line necessary, the pump, the tank, and the brains of the operation, an adjustable vacuum switch. The system is brutally simple in its operation. When the vacuum switch is tripped at the point the user has it tuned to, the system starts to inject a fixed amount of fluid through the single nozzle until the vacuum level reaches a point where the switch is closed. Easy as that. If you don’t like the idea of a vacuum switch the system can also be configured to work off of a full throttle switch, or any other switching method the user chooses.
According to company president Matt Snow, if the user runs only water through the system, an octane increase of 7 points will result. That’s pretty awesome and could definitely mean the difference between smooth engine operation and deadly detonation.

The guys at Snow have teamed up with the folks at the Lenexa, Kansas House of Boost to build a bitchin’ 1993 Mustang Cobra. The ‘Stang will feature a 358ci Winston Cup (and we truly dig the fact that they call it a Winston Cup motor) mill that’ll be force fed by a ProCharger F-2. Obviously a Snow Performance Boost Cooler Methanol Injection system will be in play, along with electronic fuel injection. The goal is 1,500 streetable horsepower on pump gas. OOGA BOOGA!
The guys at Snow have vowed to keep us up to date on every inch of the build, so look for photos and information on this car as it comes together at the House of Boost shop. It’s going to be a stomper!
