We’re a little late on the trigger with this announcement but XS Power batteries has announced a new line of lithium batteries that are at the bleeding edge of battery technology and they can be applied to your hot rod, daily driver, or whatever other machine you need to feed the juice to. The company has spent years developing these things and working on ways to mitigate and in some cases apparently eliminate the risks associated with the powerful but sometimes volatile lithium batteries.
Perhaps the most impressive part of the program here is the system that the company developed on their own to actively monitor the health and well being of the battery. What they call the electronic monitoring and balancing is the thing that makes these batteries suitable for use in a daily driver type of environment where the seasons are changing and the stresses placed on the battery itself are ever-changing as well. This is an interesting development and while it may not be the right solution for everyone yet, there are applications where these batteries could make a huge difference and keep you off the side of the road.
Inexpensive? Nope, but nothing that forges a new path ever is when it breaks onto the market. Like anything in life, you get what you pay for and in this case you are getting the highest tech, most safeguarded lithium batteries on the market. Learn more below!

Yes! The wait is finally over! What’s a better way to start the new quarter than to officially release details and begin accepting orders for our newest additions to the XS Power lineup? The XS15K, and XS30K are the newest in lithium ion nanotechnology offering extreme power with the ultimate in safety for daily driven vehicles. Featuring an all new inherently safe, highly advanced chemistry that eliminates the likelihood of destructive cell failure caused by an imbalance in cell level voltage and capacity. In addition to the inherently safe properties of the individual lithium cells, the battery will be under the watchful eye of our proprietary electronic monitoring and balancing system. (EMBS) This electronic system actively checks the status of each individual cell and ensures proper balance, which helps to not only maximize performance, but to greatly extend the battery’s service life. As an added optional feature, this system can be configured to prevent full discharge of your battery at a pre-specified cut off voltage that can be re-set in the event of an electronic failure, so you always have enough energy remaining in the battery to re-set and go when you need it! It is important to be cautions of any lithium battery that is not electronically controlled for daily driven applications. Others will claim to have a management system, when what they really mean is that they employ cell level balancing, which is a fancy term for connecting series chains of cells in parallel. We do not suggest the use of lithium batteries in daily driven applications without this important safety precaution in place, so be sure you ask the right questions, and are comfortable with your answer before you buy!

Jesus H Jones I could by a set of compounds for my diesel for what these batteries cost. I’ll stick with the optimas that have been starting my truck for 3 years no problem
Yeah they are the real deal, but don’t forget XS also has a full line of AGM batteries that are more price compared to an Optima. Optima isn’t lithium and that is why these new XS batteries cost so much.
